First of all check to see if speakers are hooked up in correct position and then you have to make sure the downmix is in the off position. Also make sure the 5.1 setting is right and then you can adjust your speaker levels. I also put my speaker sizes to the large setting. You have to make sure the downmix is off or it won't play in surrond. The guide is is to under stand and is helpfull. Yoy will also have to adjust your bass and treble settings. Hope this helps you.
