We also use the Microsoft Streets and Maps. With the same problem of not being able to hear it (getting old I guess). I found this USB adaptor on e-bay (great place) called HiFast Wireless USB Audio. It plugs into a USB port and sends your laptop misic or whatever to any FM radio. It works great cause Vicki and I don't listen to much music when we travel. It comes from HiFast out of Canada.
