There was nothing magic about the flooring job. A simple utility knife was used for the old linoleum and carpeting. I did spend some time going around the carpet edges to make sure there were no staples pointing up.

In 20/20 hindsight, figuring out how I was going to do the slides was probably the only thing that I had to work out a solution for. And that was to add a layer of 5mm Poplar Plywood under the flooring and thermal layer. You just need to get it high enough to clear the plastic hump for the slide. Once it's even the flooring can come to the edge of the slide and not have a crunch zone.

Time wise, the main flooring took about 5 part time days to do that and take all the old stuff to the dump.

The slides took 3 days because I needed to work out the engineering first.

In actual time if I knew how, it would have been a days work.

I used: Ultra 8-Piece 5.91-in x 48.03-in Blue Ridge Pine Luxury Locking Vinyl Plank Flooring

5mm Poplar Plywood, Application as 4 X 8
