Lots of folks do. We are part of that group. Legal residence is South Dakota, we own property in a different state. BUT, consider our RV as our primary residence to include Florida Snowbirding in the winter. Just make sure you meet the tax/residency requirements of each state, and no conflict between them. As mentioned above, we have heard multiple horror stories from RV friends about trying to break ties with California. Good luck.
