There's a toll road north of Toronto, Ontario so you can avoid the often busy 401 through the city. It costs about $20 to go for most of it with a regular vehicle. If you take a semi or a truck and trailer, you should have a transponder and if you don't, you get charged a lot of money to take it. So when we don't have the trailer with us, we sometimes take the toll road, but if we have the trailer, we will take another road.
