Crater Lake RV Park - Prospect, OR

We just got back from an outing to Crater Lake. There are two places to camp in the park (which is large) but they are both dry camping. We decided to go with hook-ups this time, so opted for a nearby park. Crater Lake RV Park is a nice little park a short trip to the park. Very friendly camp host. Good rates, and had 50-amp service.

We also stayed at the Bend/Sunriver Thousand Trails which is a nice park. As always for TT, older and no sewer hook-up, but nice. Saw another 3750FL but the owner's not there - was that you?

Crater Lake has a short season due to snow. Sometimes snow can be on the ground as late as July, and as early as late September or early October. We could not believe our weather - 70's to 80's daytime temperatures, and then dropping to a cool 40ish at night. Never even rained!!

We had a great time. Neither Kris or I had been to Crater Lake since we were little kids. Pleasantly, it had not changed much at all.

Here are Carmen and Sophie "camping". They do not like cold weather, so we had to break out the light jackets for while at the lake...
