My 2012 left a scratch also. Camping World told me it was a long slide bar which used to be wider in older models and more solid. The one in mine is extruded metal kind of upside down "U" shaped and over time, the "U" is flattening allowing the slide to lower and scratch. I personally did not look at the part and am forwarding their results. They said it was about $800-1000 to fix. I put an old piece of vinyl where the slide rides over and will see about fixing after hunting season.
