I've heard that also. I have a 100" wide 305RL and haven't had any problems. But, I would hate to have to remove an awning or rent an escort just to get out of that state! So I did an internet search...

Many states are 102" max
Many states are 102" max, safety equipment excluded (lights and mirrors)
Many states are 102" max, appurtenances (accessories such as awnings) excluded
Several states are 96" max, and 102" max on designated roads

Here's the reference: http://drivinglaws.aaa.com/laws/trailer-dimensions/

Does anyone know of anyone being stopped or cited for this?
