It is an important safety item, the last thing you need is to blow a fitting or have a leak that you don’t find right away. The normal everyday pressure is not the issue, but pressure spikes when pumps kick on can be the issue.

Check the volume rating on your regulator. There are different flow rates ratings even for a consistent 50-55psi regulator. Look for a high flow unit. BuilderBob’s idea of one with a gauge an adjustable is great.
