Stiles, I do not know if you have ever seen the Kevin Costner movie,
Field of Dreams, but in it Costner plays Ray Kinsella, who plows up his corn crop to build a baseball field, because “if you build it, he will come,” he being Ray’s father. At the end of the movie, Ray’s father asks him if that field is heaven, and later, Ray looks around him and replies that perhaps this is heaven, though he had responded Iowa earlier.
It sounds like the two of you are making your own version of heaven. “Deafening silence”… Well, I think that speaks volumes!
