It was Helen's fault as she showed me exactly what to do to stop the washer when the wash cycle ended so I could remove her" "delicates" as they could not go through the dry cycle. She was at craft class, far more important then getting her "delicates" out of the W/D. I did exactly as instructed and ripped the handle off. Lesson learned for Helen. The 52.00 and installation is on her. She knew better than to let me near the W/D.
UPDATE: The Splendide door handle replacement was here UPS in 3 days as promised by Splendide . Helen completed the installation in less than 1/2 hour. It was a piece of cake. We are back in the laundry business. I will never touch the machine again.
