Think the original post asks about a specific year/type of truck...my two cents is that I have NEVER had good luck with a used vehicle of any kind. If it was running great why would the owner sell/trade it? On the other hand, I have known people to do very well with used vehicles. Has to be a personal choice. Another comment, when a relatively small percentage (total numbers) of owners of a particular vehicle has problems with that vehicle, does that make the vehicle problematic??? If that was so, I would have to conclude by the articles/letters to the ED in the Good Sam and Trailer Life magazines that Chevy trucks all have overheating problems! Personally, I like each of the American made heavy duty trucks...just happen to the like Ford most.
