dub, I agree with your statement re the difference between a fiver and a commercial trailer. Placement of the wheels is what is the problem and allowances should be made.
That said I am in big favor of some sort of additional training or licensing for anyone pulling a large trailer. Or for that matter a moter home. I have seen people pulling a fiver in the car pool lane in CA??? For thouse who don't know in CA when pulling a trailer of ANY size you are limited to 55 MPH and staying in the right two lanes. From what I have been able to see that is the best kept secret in the state.
