I just installed an battery powered LED light to the left side of the entrance on the first step inside the door! It has a blue cast to it and has a motion sensor on it so when the door is opened and it senses movement at the entrance it comes on and there's plenty of light to see and turn on the light switches on the wall. It also turns off automaticly in about 15 seconds or so bu slowly dimming! Oh, and I got it at Harbor Freight for about $4-5.00(at the most)! Have put one in the throne room also so we don't have to turn on the lights if we get up in the middle of the night!
