Friend Wordsmith, we take an extra "dish" and our one receiver (Direct TV) from the house and have no trouble setting up, except in heavy trees. We have never had Dish, so we can't make a comparison. Our home "dish" is an oval with 3 modules (for local channels), but we take a regular round, one module "dish" when we travel and it works just fine -- no local channels, of course.
