I'm sorry I can't answer you question, but I'm sure someone will be by to help you out. But, I do have a question, are you using your furnace? if so, is that when you noticed the wet carpet? I will be following this post because I'm living in mine in Ohio and I haven't had the need so far to turn on my furnace yet....and my fresh air return is in the same location yours.
