We left May 26 and returned September 23. I think we were on all the major paved roads except the one between North Pole and Tok. Put about 15,000 miles on and plan to go again !!! Great place to visit, fish, and just have a great time. The drive is worth it because you have complete flexibility of where and when you go. Had no trouble getting a reservation for a campsite but would still encourage that you call ahead if you know where and when you want to go in specific areas.
