I have only heard of a couple of"horror stories" about a loose connections out of thousands and thousands of fireplaces, they just need to be cleaned every now and again(easy) and while you are in there just make sure the wires are tight and you are good to go
, the newer fireplaces are awesome and provide good heat for us Fulltimers in the cold months and they look great on a cold winters night like a touch of home
