You can fish a wire down the wall if you want to put in a regular 110v switch like you would have on stick house lights. I think your fan is 12 volt, but a regular switch will work. You need to run the wire from the fan to the switch and back to the fan or the power source. All the switch will do is break the circuit. This is one of those things that I wish I was there. It would be easy to help you with instead of trying to explain it on a laptop in a KOA campground in Branson... Hope it helps....JB
