I don't think the 2 years makes any difference - I believe you have increased in vehicle value quite a bit.

The actual year doesn't seem to make much difference with the insurance (your rates never go down much as the vehicle gets older). They are insuring your actions, the actions of others, then about a third of it is cost for repairs or replacement. That was probably the biggest cause for increase.
