If Seahunter has been able to find the correct model and its GVWR is 15,620 the truck will be overloaded for sure. The documented pin weight is never a good number (unless you tow unloaded, not!). You can estimate 18% to 25% is at the pin and that number being 2,800 to 3,900 lb in this case and even a 1 ton may not work. The rear axle will be the biggest concern and I fear at least a dually is required with that GVWR.

I learned that the dealer's suggestion to "don't load it so much" is a bunch of hogwash. There will be times you need to drive with full tanks to a dump station and you'll have a concern. But still just know that others do chance it and don't have a problem.

The concern is not the engine and trans (they are often the same combination even with larger trucks). There are too many other components of concern that determine a vehicle's weight rating and if those rig numbers are accurate, I'd be concerned with a 3/4 ton truck.
