We too also stayed at Association Island KOA and it works for us because we always get a water site where we can put our kayaks in and swim from our site. Alexandria Bay, NY is the place to get a boat tour and they are definitely worth doing. Swan Bay is a new rv park near Alexandria Bay, NY that has an interesting web site. They sent me info when they opened but we have not stayed there. If you are at all interested in antiques wood speed boats the Clayton NY wood boat museum is great and definitely in the area. Clayton had some restaurants that look out on the river and you can watch the boats go by.
