I would think a res would last a lot longer and be more trouble free. Never had a res refrig that failed. Are there certain brands and models that will fit? How about modifying cabinets so it would fit? We definately wish we had a bigger refrig as we only have the single door that came with the 2010 3000RK. The 2011 came with side by side. Oh well!
