Seen more than a few laying on the side of the road, after loosing one on a Crossroads fiver I started using silicone on the backside of the screws. works perfect, did it to the new Montana after getting home from dealer after pickup to find 3 screws gone and the rest lo0se. Tightening or not tightening won't change the fact they will vibrate lose so the silicone fixes all that and it remains flexible and won't dent the light aluminum skirting etc... good luck
