The TST 507 flowthrough sensors just need a tiny Philips screwdriver to get the battery covers off, I think its a 00 philips, and just replace with the correct battery, check and replace the oaring if needed, and reinstall the cover. The sensors are not programmed, so they lose nothing. It is the dash unit that gets programmed to see the digital signal ID from the sensors. I installed the repeater on the wall behind the batteries and connected the ground to the frame and the hot to one of the terminals on the breakers. Its out of the way and never have to think about it. The batteries for the flowthrough sensors are the CR 1632, which I've had a hard time finding locally, so I just order them through Amazon.
