I don't know if you have the half-time oven, or a straight microwave, but either way it will be on a 20 amp breaker, flip it off and back on. The plug will be a 20 amp plug, you won't be able to use an extension cord on it, as they are (mostly) 15 amp prong configuration. Pulling the bezel is a great idea to get to it. Unplug it and test the power at the outlet, if you have power, the problem is with the appliance.
Based on what you wrote, I would imagine the breaker is bad. Flip it off and on a few times, then try it.
