We actually had our unit robbed. They pried open the basement doors - regardless of how long the latches, those doors bend a lot. Then they crawled up through the laundry chute and grabbed about $4,000 worth of stuff. And, then they slit the sidewall of one of the tires or we may not have even noticed while we were there. I dare say that I could get into any rig if needed with a minimum of damage with either a screwdriver or cordless drill. We are now storing at an RV dealership with state of the art security system that includes lights and cameras. I do not consider my home any more secure. That being said, if it makes you feel safer go for it. Our next unit will be a side aisle (for other reasons than security)but that is one of the side benefits.

LOCKS ARE FOR HONEST PEOPLE - HONEST.
