If you feel the need for an aftermarket inlet air filter system, there are better available then a K&N such as AFE, AEM, BD etc, etc. These don't include an oiled filter media which WILL gum up your mass flow sensor. Yes, K&N says that they wont. Sorry K&N but you are totally full of bull droppings. I made the mistake on my '94 T-Bird as well as the '97 F150. And yes, it caused me grief in that a couple hours of my labor, a can of MAF cleaned and the cost of 2 K&N fithers plus their OEM style replacements. I have a K&N on my '31 street rod only because I couldn't find a 12x4 oval but that will get trashed as soon as it gets dirty and a new element installed. Then there is dust carry over until the filter gets a bit dirty ....
