I have to wonder why you're having the problem in the first place. Usually when we start having problems with slides it's because the rail teeth and gear pack need lubing. Usually it will start with the slides kind of jumping a little, not moving smoothly. Lubricating usually takes care of that problem.

This might be of no help to you at all but I do have to wonder why it's popping the 50 amp breaker in the first place. That should be plenty. It is on ours, anyhow.

I did replace the 40amp fuse on the landing gear with a 40 amp auto resetting breaker I bought in an auto parts store. I don't recall that they had anything larger than the 40 amp but maybe some stores would have the larger ones. If not, surely an rv dealer could get it.
