As I said earlier the manufacturer may tell you differently but I am confident regarding the jurisdiction of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The Andersen hitch does not modify the attached product and therefore complies with the intent of the MM Warranty Act.

With regards to feeling more comfortable with a 200 lb hitch over aluminum that is what's great about opinions. The facts are a bit different however. The aluminum supports the weight and the geometric design and some engineering mathematics show that the it safely supports the specified weights of 24,000 tow and 4500 lbs tongue.

I am happy with the improved towing experience of my purchase. I am satisfied and comfortable that the product is safe and supports the weight specifications i need. I am happy that it weighs only 34 lbs and I or my wife can remove and install it easily.

I am NOT supportive of the owner's recently documented behavior. I am however a supporter of our legal system as well as having enough years on this earth to realize that we all make mistakes. Time will tell how he personally handles his troubles surrounding his actions. I am not rewarding him.
