Jack I replaced mine with oak strips but I found putty sticks "for like of a real name lol"at lowes that I use to fill nail holes and other small defects. they come in a pack of 4 different colors and one is the white that will match the ceiling. IIRCC they are in the paint dept with the wood fillers and glue.
