I have a spray in liner which is similar to line-x that was installed at a local camper place when it was new 8 years ago and there is not a ding in it. Cost was just under $300.00 at the time but well worth it. The slide in ones will cause rusting problems underneath them as it wears the paint away in the bed of the truck.
