When we weekended/vacationed, what PJ says was true for us. But as fulltimers we carry 40 to 50 gallons of freshwater and refill when it gets low. We dump the black tank when it's full or nearly full so carry partially full black tank with us, too. Gray tanks we pretty much do the same although if we have a hookup I may dump a nearly full gray tank before we hit the road. When overnighting we often do not hook up to sewer or don't have a sewer connection and rarely use the dump station.
