I had a tripod for years, got rid of it, while it did assist with stability, storing it was a pain. I know have the Steady Fast system, as at the time i got it, it was the only one compatible with the Hydraulic 6 point Level Up system (JT;s are however compatible with the electric level up system).
The product is fantastic, really stabilizes my unit, it stays attached all the time, and dosent take up any compartment space. PLUS, when I had a quick install question, I called on a Sunday, left a message, 10 mins later the Owner of the company called me and assisted me, from his cell phone. Not bad at all. Would recommend. I had the JT's on my old camper, they worked great as well, I like the Steady Fast better, since it accomplishes the same thing with less parts..
