Since we do not have a washer/dryer I installed valves in the basement as close as possible to the water source. The washer side of the pipes not stay winterized so I do not have to worry about that any more.

I also put valves on all the other fixtures incase there is a problem with a particular fixture. I can shut off water to that fixture while still using the others.
