We just returned from a great weekend in the Montana. This campground is fairly new and the personel were very friendly and helpful. Not much shade for sites except those right on the river. When returning we will definitely request one of these shadier sites. These sites are back ins where most of the other sites are pull thrus. The sites are large, spacious, mostly level gravel. This campground was built in a large field (previously used for growing "Stokley" beans & corn) surrounded by rolling hills leading to the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Was nice to have a campground near the mountains, trout streams and natural beauty without the busy crowds around, which you find in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. There is a hillside with a large apple orchard in view of the sites. The bathhouse, shower facilities, etc were clean and well maintained. Lots of families with children. Each site has it own picnic table and fire ring. We did some drives through the mountains on Saturday, saw some beautiful waterfalls, and enjoyed the rushing mountain streams which were busy with fisherman trying to land some trout. Would definitely reccommend this campgroud.
