I have found most of the vertical obstructions you need to worry about are not in your GPS. Tree limbs, gas station overhangs and overhead wires are much more apt to bite you than bridges. Most low bridges tend to have decent sign warnings before you get to them but not all. Where you plan to travel is also a factor, areas that were developed in the last 50 years tend to have few low bridges.
