If you are having a problem with the cables fraying you have a problem with the cable standoff out of adjustment! and the cable is rubbing on the metal hole that it is going through it's not hard to adj them at all. there are lot's of YouTube videos you can watch on this subject. I have had 2 SOB and now are Montana 5er and have had no cable problems in any of them with cables. I carry a spare cable I just in case 5 years still in storage.
