I have an '06 3400 and I actually like the drop shelf. I keep smaller items in there in three small plastic containers. Also store my chocks and cleaning supplies on curb side and store extra hose and electrical things plus wooden blocks on the street side. That's what makes this forum so great, everyone has great ideas for personalization of their homes.....
