If you read the directions, you are not supposed to run water into the black tank with the output valve closed. I am amazed that it didn't blow the top off the black tank. The black tank in my Montana is just a large tub approx 6' long by 3' wide and about 12" deep. It has a 2" flange around the top with a flat piece of a plastic type material glued/welded to the top of the flange. I know this because mine started leaking when the top came loose. Luckily I had extended warranty that covered it. If you calculate the need Myers of sq. In.
