It was a Montana - I thought an overfill would flood the inside or basement first?
If you read the directions, you are not supposed to run water into the black tank with the output valve closed. I am amazed that it didn't blow the top off the black tank. The black tank in my Montana is just a large tub approx 6' long by 3' wide and about 12" deep. It has a 2" flange around the top with a flat piece of a plastic type material glued/welded to the top of the flange. I know this because mine started leaking when the top came loose. Luckily I had extended warranty that covered it. If you calculate the need Myers of sq. In. In an area the size of the cover and apply 30 or 40 psi of water pressure you can see why they were lucky it didn't ruin the tank.
