For the Lighting Gurus.

My kitchen chandlier has given me trouble for the last 3 yrs the bulbs will get hot and they will go out and even melt the little contacts. I can move them and they will come back on. I have taken it down and reworked it 2 times and it will work great for awhile. the sockets are badly burned and very hard to find they are the carbon ones and part of what holds the globes up. So I have been thinking about replacing it with a 18x8 floresent from CW. now I don't think it will look as good but I should'nt have trouble with it working. But the big question is will it give as much light as the 3 bulbs that are there now. I have already changed to the 1004 bulbs to help with the heat and ended up with less light. I looked at a new 12v light but the only thing I see is the big round one with 2 bulbs I think at CW and I don't care for it. Thanks for any Info.
