Steve, I think that the base length for the mattress is the same as the one for the queen but wider. Actually, the top (head end) of the plywood is just queen sized in ours. I was surprised that it was not supporting the entire mattress. The rounded corners may present a problem in King size mattress to miss the bathroom sink assembly.
