Bought a Pirit hose about five years ago, and have had no problems with it except the cable ties broke allowing the thermostat to fall away from the hose. I just used new cable ties to put it back in position. The thermostat turns on the power to the hose when the hose gets to about 45 degrees. When I ordered one for the FIL, I ordered a Camco from Amazon, and when it arrived in a package with Camco on it, inside was a Pirit hose, so I guess the Camco is made by Pirit. Make sure, especially if you have the hose plugged into a GFI outlet, that the plug and any plugs on an extension cord are protected from rain, because the GFI will trip and you will have a frozen hose.
