i spent 3 hours at the dealer yesterday. Drove the 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins, and drove the Chevy 2020 and GMC Denali 2020, both with the duramax and the 10 speed allison. All were impressive. the GMC/Chevy shifted smooth, felt very nice BUT there was a definate turbo lag in the duramax that was not there in the cummins, which had no lag or very little. it got up and went. Also, the capacity of the RAM will do my Montana...towing (19,000 lbs), payload (3050 lbs), and GCWR (27,000 lbs). Not to mention the RAM has the auto level air ride. The coil springs in the rear of the RAM also made for a smoother ride. While the Denali had the best interior, obviously...the RAM Laramie was damn nice, and close to it. In the end, I choice to stay with the ram, heading to the dealer Tuesday to put the order in.
