I would pull the battery, put on a charger to 'top it off' then take it to a battery shop, they can check it under a load, also check each cell to insure that it is a good battery. That is a good place to start.
You can put a very small fuse, maybe 1/4 amp, in the battery circuit, if it blows, you have a load pulling on the battery somewhere.
