We had our first Montana 7 years, traded for current rig, which is now in its 6th season. Lots of stuff breaking on ours too. We use ours, on average, about 40 nights per year. That number will soon increase significantly as my wife is about to "retire" from her teaching job. So I am also debating whether to keep the monthly payment in my pocket and use for repairs as needed, or get a new one next year. We will definitely be looking at SOBs as well. I was highly pleased with my first Monty, and not very pleased at all with this one. With some of the issues I am hearing about with new rigs, I think I may stick with this one and make repairs as needed. It's got new tires, soon will have new landing gear, and a number of other new parts. It is in great shape on the inside (looks terrible on the outside due to peeling decals). Like most, ultimately finances will drive the decision.
