Yup Don, I agree with you. One of these days the tourists will figure out that anyone visiting Palm Springs/Palm Desert in the summer are NOT from California cuz we stay away.
Bill!!! Keep going West!!! You aren't at the coast yet and all the green you see around you in Palm Springs is an illusion.
Actually it not an illusion. It's an example of how us Californians (mostly people from back East who resettled around here in an attempt to make the desert green like their past homeland) planted grass where it's not meant to be, then have to steal the water from the Colorado River to keep it watered. No wonder there's always water shortages here. We're wasting it on lush golf courses in one of the hottest deserts in the world.
