Good to know! Thanks Art-N-Marg and Bigskyjimmy. We also live in the north, and I think it would be a wise investment. I've read that the newer fifth wheels are shaped better in the front, and that there are hitches and pin boxes that would eliminate the need for a slider. The whole 5th wheel hookup is new to me, so I will have more learning to do before making a decision. I'd like to go in to the dealer with some knowledge, so I don't just buy what they sell me.
