I went from Arizona to Galena, Ill. 28 years ago and just had coach seats. If you haven't ridden Amtrak recently (well I am not exactly recent, I guess) the seats are QUITE large and roomy. To be honest I can't remember if I slept well or not, but back then I could sleep anywhere.
