'65-'66...early vietvet!
I was primarily in III Corps in the early years. We actually could not leave the country as later many went to Hawaii and other Pacific locations for R&R. In Vung Tau they had a beach called Back Beach, (Bai Sau) and I actually enjoyed that area for only brief R&R --2 days!! It is a beautiful country with legimate views that many have here to never return. It seemed ironic to me that Miss USA tripped and fell during the show. Many US servicemen tripped and fell, some never rising again from that war. I am so fortunate and thankful.
